This paper examines the landscape of scientific research and innovation within Algerian universities,2 analyzing the nation's strategic shift towards a knowledge-based economy. It explores the key drivers, challenges, and opportunities that are shaping the future of research and development in Algeria. By examining government initiatives, university-industry collaboration, and the broader innovation ecosystem, this paper provides a comprehensive overview of the current state of scientific research and offers a roadmap for fostering a more dynamic and productive innovation environment.
